Job summary

Trinity Health Ann Arbor is seeking a Manager, Facilities & Engineering to provide administrative oversight for Facilities and Engineering, guiding planning, design and construction of capital projects in collaboration with division leadership. You will ensure safe, compliant operations, manage budgets, approve major purchases, and align activities with hospital goals and Trinity Health strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, Construction Management, HVAC, or similar with desired concentration in Business Administration.
• Equivalency in industry leadership is considered in lieu of formal degreed individual (10 years in leadership minimum).
• Approximately ten years progressively more responsible leadership experience in health care facilities and capital project fields, knowledge of codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensures THAA is maintained in a safe, efficient, orderly and proper operating condition.
• Formulates and approves short and long-term goals, objectives, plans and budgets for all Facilities and Engineering functions.
• Oversees safety, Environment of Care, regulatory compliance and reporting requirements.
• Oversees master plan updates and plant-related capital projects.
• Conducts cost/benefit analyses and recommends improvements and purchases.
• Leads development of department policies and procedures.
• Negotiates with vendors and manages major contracts and equipment purchases.
