Job summary

AM General is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Leader to drive procurement and material flow across the organization. The role emphasizes establishing metrics, managing inventories, and aligning with production needs to ensure cost-effective operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FAR/DFARS, extensive leadership experience, and proficiency with SAP and MS Office. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Supply Chain or technical field.
• Masters preferred.
• 10+ years processing procurements subject to FAR/DFARS.
• 10+ years creating functional supply chain strategies and budgets/policies.
• 10+ years in people leadership including team management and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.
• Develops and maintains inventories of materials and supplies at sites and in the factory.
• Maintains required quantity of supplies to optimize production.
• Analyzes inventories and procedures; suggests efficiency improvements.
• Develops policies to increase efficiency while ensuring quality and safety; implements changes.
• Coordinates with suppliers and internal teams to optimize procurement and material flow.
• Monitors supplier performance and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
• Supports product development with availability and cost information.
