Job summary

AM General LLC is seeking an experienced procurement and supply chain leader to develop and execute strategic purchasing plans. You will mentor teams, manage cross-functional projects, and partner with finance, operations, and legal to optimize costs and drive value.

You will lead supplier evaluations, monitor market trends, and implement KPI-driven procurement strategies, while ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain, engineering, or related field.
• Advanced degree or certification is a plus.
• 5+ years in a leadership/management role.
• Experience in supply chain strategies and KPI dashboards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans aligned with project goals.
• Lead team members, provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
• Act as project manager with cross-functional teams to define requirements, specs, and timelines.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers and vendors based on capabilities, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
• Monitor market trends and opportunities for cost savings and improvements.
• Analyze data and generate reports on purchasing activities and cost savings for senior management.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and legal for seamless procurement coordination.
• Stay updated on laws, regulations, and procurement best practices.
• Conduct analysis of supply chain processes to identify value creation and improvement.
• Develop strategies to drive revenue growth across functions like sales, marketing, operations, and supply chain.
• Lead cost optimization initiatives and drive efficiency improvements.
• Establish KPIs to track value capture and financial progress.
• Collaborate with finance to analyze statements, budgets, and forecasts for cost savings.
