Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or military experience.
• 10+ years of legal, compliance, or risk management experience OR 10+ years of regulatory experience in consumer financial services or payments.
• 5+ years of people management.
• 5+ years of consulting with and presenting to senior executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with first and second line functions to analyze the existing risk management program framework and applicability to the network and merchant services business.
• Provide advice and challenge on the risks impacting the network and merchant businesses through formal and informal engagements.
• Advise business leaders on regulatory requirements, policies, and industry standards.
• Develop expert-level understanding of end-to-end network and merchant business processes worldwide.
• Identify trends in business data and demonstrate understanding of network payments risks.
• Maintain subject matter expertise in the broader payments industry and applicable global laws and regulations.
• Ensure ongoing application of compliance requirements to expansions and new products.
• Develop strong relationships across the lines of defense, including Compliance, Legal, and Audit.
• Coach and develop others through leadership and presence.
• Support regulatory exam and engagement preparation and delivery.
• Manage, develop, and coach a Risk Advisory Team.
• Participate in reporting activities to senior leadership.
