Job summary

PTC Therapeutics, Inc. in the United States seeks a Senior Director, Clinical Development to provide strategic input for clinical/medical aspects across drug development and to lead CDPs, trials and external collaborations.

The role ensures CDPs and trials are designed per GCP, oversees cross-functional teams and external partners, and represents the clinical development organization in external meetings, with travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• MD degree and a minimum of 5 years of clinical drug development experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or related environment.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience leading a large, multi-country, clinical development program.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of early- and late-phase drug development and applicable regulatory processes.
• Ability to influence without direct authority.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and skills.

Responsibilities

• Leads, contributes to and directs global clinical development strategy for assigned indications/therapeutic areas.
• Designs CDPs and ensures clinical/medical benefit and development objectives are met.
• Manages relationships with external partners; reviews contracts, budgets, and invoices.
• Medically responsible for clinical studies and oversees cross-functional collaboration to support CDPs and regulatory submissions.
• Represents the Clinical Development team in meetings with external stakeholders and regulators.
• Ensures adherence to GCP/regulatory standards and SOPs.
