Job summary

Fortrea is seeking an Executive Director to lead Global Clinical Development strategy and drive growth across rare diseases and pediatrics. You will oversee design of differentiated delivery strategies, build cross-functional collaboration, and elevate proposal excellence.

The role requires extensive R&D and clinical trial leadership, global people management, and strong financial acumen to shape budgets, deals and governance across GenMed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Advanced degree (APRN, MPH, PhD and/or MBA) preferred.
• Experience may substitute for education where appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Leads end-to-end business development strategies to grow Fortrea’s portfolio in rare diseases and pediatrics.
• Builds senior relationships across pharma, biotech, KOLs, investigators, sites and partners.
• Oversees RFI responses, proposal development, bid defense prep and presentations.
• Markets capabilities via publications, conferences and webinars to raise Fortrea’s visibility.
• Shapes GenMed strategic roadmap and therapeutic area growth through leadership and governance.
• Develops SDG team capability, succession planning and leadership capacity.
• Manages talent, onboarding and retention across a global, matrixed environment.
• Oversees budgets, deal terms and ensures strategies align with client needs.
