JPMorganChase is seeking a Senior Director of Software Engineering to lead fraud-prevention tech initiatives across multiple departments. You will shape engineering strategy, mentor cross-functional teams, and drive secure, scalable cloud-native solutions while partnering with senior executives.

Responsibilities include delivering high-throughput systems, guiding AI-enabled delivery, and advancing observability and resilience across platforms in a global financial services environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with 5+ years leading technologists.
• Strong background in Java-based backend systems (Spring Boot).
• Experience leading large or cross-functional teams (application, data, SRE).
• Deep understanding of distributed systems design and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Proven track record delivering high throughput, low latency systems.
• Strong experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and IaC.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple technology and process implementations to meet tech objectives.
• Directly manage multiple areas with strategic transactional focus.
• Provide leadership and direction to teams across platforms, divisions, and lines of business.
• Interface with senior leaders to drive consensus.
• Manage stakeholders, complex projects, and cross-product collaborations.
• Set and scale multi-department AI-enabled engineering strategies and governance.
• Drive development of high throughput, low latency production systems for fraud prevention.
• Oversee cross-functional engineering teams (application, data, SRE).
• Guide adoption of DevOps practices, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
• Ensure observability and reliability of cloud-native architectures.
