Job summary

YMCA of Greater New York is seeking a Senior Director of Financial Planning & Reporting to support the Vice President – Finance/CAO. You will develop annual budgets, financial projections, and pro-forma reports while leading a dedicated team.

The role requires strong Excel modeling, experience with Workday Adaptive Planning, Oracle, and Salesforce, and a background in nonprofit finance. You will collaborate across branches to meet organizational needs and drive financial strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or Master’s preferred.
• Minimum four (4) years of analytics, financial analysis, accounting, or related experience; CPA preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with data analysis, reporting, and financial modeling.
• Experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data to support decisions.
• Strong project management, organizational, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated emotional intelligence and ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with Oracle Applications, Salesforce, AS400, and other business/financial systems desirable.
• Experience with Workday and Adaptive Planning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data and create reports using Excel or similar tools.
• Develop financial projections, modeling, simulations, and pro-forma budgets and reports.
• Lead budgeting process under CAO direction: planning, guidelines, training, proposals, and reporting.
• Lead implementation of Workday Adaptive Planning and related reporting initiatives.
• Collaborate with branches and departments to ensure needs are met.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
