Job summary

Blue Yonder is seeking a Senior Director, Finance Systems & Enterprise Applications to lead the global Finance IT portfolio, including Workday Financials and related platforms.

You will define the technology strategy, drive end-to-end delivery across R2R, S2P, O2C, and payroll, and partner with CFO and CIO to enable growth and efficiency. This role leads a global team of engineers and analysts, shaping modernization, data quality, and user experience across finance operations.

Responsibilities

• Define multi-year finance IT strategy aligned to CFO priorities and enterprise architecture standards.
• Partner with Finance leadership across Controllership, FP&A, Accounting, Treasury, and Procurement.
• Lead platform rationalization, consolidation, and modernization across the Finance technology portfolio.
• Evaluate AI/ML, automation, and cloud to drive competitive advantage in finance operations.
• Oversee end-to-end delivery of Finance technology programs spanning new implementations, upgrades, integrations, and enhancements.
• Drive disciplined project execution using Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies—on scope, schedule, and budget.
• Partner with PMO and Finance stakeholders to prioritize portfolio delivery by capacity and value.
• Own governance and reporting for Finance IT programs to VP of Enterprise Technology and senior Finance leadership.
• Ensure high availability and reliability of platforms like Workday Finance, WAC, BlackLine, Lucernex, WSS, and Oracle ePBCS.
• Lead the Finance IT operational model including SLA management, incident response, and root cause resolution.
• Drive continuous improvement in system stability, data quality, and user experience across Finance tech touchpoints.
• Record-to-Report (R2R): enable close processes, journals, reconciliations, and consolidation.
• Source-to-Pay (S2P): lead sourcing, procurement, and AP tech including Workday Sourcing.
• Asset Accounting: support fixed assets, lease accounting (ASC 842 via Lucernex).
• Payroll: ensure integrated payroll processing across geographies.
• Order-to-Cash (O2C): support AR, billing, collections, and revenue recognition tech.
• Budget & Forecasting: own Oracle ePBCS health and integration with Workday Finance.
• Reporting & Analytics: deliver finance reporting platforms and BI capabilities including Workday Prism, WAC analytics, and ePBCS reporting.
• Lead finance technology transformation programs including automation and AI-assisted reconciliation.
• Champion adoption of Workday Accounting Center as subledger transformation platform.
• Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual effort and accelerate close cycles.
• Build Finance IT roadmap for Generative AI and Copilot integration.
• Maintain current knowledge of ERP, EPM, CLM, close management, and procurement platforms to guide leadership.
• Lead platform-depth-first approach, auditing capabilities and closing feature adoption gaps.
• Lead SKU rationalization to reduce TCO while improving data integrity.
• Conduct regular license and entitlement reviews across Finance platforms.
• Track vendor roadmaps and market trends to inform multi-year roadmap decisions.
• Build and maintain a Finance IT technology radar for emerging capabilities.
• Evaluate AI in platforms (Workday AI, BlackLine Intelligence, Oracle AI) for ROI opportunities.
• Serve as Finance tech thought leader and sponsor continuous learning within Finance IT.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of Finance IT professionals across roles.
• Foster inclusive culture across time zones and geographies.
• Manage vendor relationships and SI partnerships for delivery quality.
• Define talent and capability development strategy for Finance IT.
• Own the technology strategy and operations for Legal & Compliance systems (Ironclad, CLM).
• Lead Ironclad CLM administration and integration with Salesforce, Finance, and Procurement.
• Partner with Legal/Risk/Compliance to enable policy management and audit readiness.
• Ensure integration of legal systems with enterprise data for reporting and risk exposure.
• Support legal matter management and entity governance platforms.
