Job summary

Faulconer Construction Company, Inc. seeks a Director of Field Safety to lead the field safety organization, embedding a safety-first culture across regions.

You will mentor Area Safety Managers, partner with Operations and Risk Management, and drive risk mitigation from planning through execution to deliver safe, productive projects. You will develop the safety team, coordinate enterprise training, and lead investigations with root-cause analyses, while aligning with Faulconer’s Core Values and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in OH&S, Construction Mgmt, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive construction safety experience with leadership.
• OSHA 500 and 510 certifications preferred.
• CSP, CHST, ASP, or equivalent safety certification strongly preferred.
• Heavy civil, utility, or sitework construction experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and high-risk construction activities.
• Experience developing safety training and leadership development programs.
• Experience leading incident investigations and using safety metrics.

Responsibilities

• Lead Area Safety Managers and establish best practices across regions.
• Partner with Operations to identify project risks and integrate safety strategies.
• Promote a Safety-First culture with Stop Work Authority and strong engagement.
• Maintain visible field presence and build relationships with employees and leaders.
• Coordinate enterprise safety training, onboarding, and leadership development.
• Lead or support major incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Support safety program implementation, audits, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor safety performance and advise executive leadership.
• Evaluate new safety technologies and industry best practices.
• Represent Faulconer with customers, regulators, and industry groups.
