Job summary

Dev Technology Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Director to lead a federal software development and modernization portfolio in Reston, VA.

This role requires DHS Public Trust readiness and oversees multiple programs, PMs, and strategic initiatives supporting mission-critical government customers. The Senior Director will drive strategic direction, governance, and growth across programs, balancing customer satisfaction, contract performance, and workforce development while staying informed on

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years in federal technology environments with leadership in software development and modernization
• Bachelor’s or equivalent with PMP or willingness to obtain
• Minimum of 10 years leading complex federal programs, portfolios, or delivery organizations
• Proven success building trusted relationships with federal customers and senior stakeholders
• Experience overseeing multiple programs, contracts, and delivery teams simultaneously
• Experience supporting program growth, recompetes, capture activities, and organic account expansion
• Strong understanding of cloud computing, AI/ML, Agile, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, data analytics
• Ability to engage with technical teams and customers without being hands-on
• Excellent executive communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills

Responsibilities

• Establish and communicate strategic vision and priorities for the portfolio across programs.
• Provide strategic leadership while enabling Project Managers to own delivery and execution.
• Translate customer priorities into actionable portfolio strategies, roadmaps, and measurable objectives.
• Ensure activities align with missions, commitments, and company values.
• Identify cross-program patterns, dependencies, risks, and opportunities.
• Foster accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Advise executive leadership on portfolio performance, concerns, and opportunities.
• Oversee portfolio governance, performance, and resource allocation.
• Lead growth and portfolio development including capture opportunities
