Job summary

Amalgamated Bank seeks an Executive Compensation Manager to lead the design, administration, and continuous improvement of executive pay programs. You will align compensation with business goals, collaborate with Legal, Finance, HR, and external advisors, and guide governance processes across complex projects.

You will oversee equity plans, long-term incentives, and annual incentives, while partnering with senior leaders to optimize compensation structures for a large, publicly traded company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 10+ years of compensation experience.
• Minimum 5 years in executive compensation with governance exposure.
• Strong analytical, modeling and project leadership capabilities.
• Experience with publicly traded companies and equity plans.
• Certifications in compensation are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution and administration of executive compensation programs and deferred compensation.
• Assess market data, provide insights, and influence talent strategies.
• Serve as liaison to Board members and partner with Finance on director pay.
• Prepare materials for Compensation Committee meetings and SEC filings.
• Oversee equity grant/vesting and governance processes.
• Drive system implementations, process improvements, and vendor management.
• Provide coaching and development to staff and coordinate with senior leaders.
• Perform other duties as directed.
