Job summary

Major League Soccer seeks a senior events leader to drive the strategic planning and execution of the league's events and hospitality portfolio. You will coordinate MLS, SUM and external partners from concept through post-event evaluation, shaping budgets, schedules, vendor management, and attendee experiences.

The role requires leading on-site execution, creating governance and dashboards, and delivering KPI-driven reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 8+ years of progressive project management or event operations.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience managing complex projects from planning through execution.
• Demonstrated experience leading leaders and cross-functional initiatives.
• Proven track record building operational systems, governance models, or scalable planning processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-level initiatives from planning through execution with MLS, SUM and external stakeholders.
• Build and manage integrated project plans with timelines, milestones, dependencies, resources, budgets, and risk.
• Develop governance structures ensuring clarity of ownership and decision pathways.
• Create standardized PM processes, tools, templates, and governance models.
• Lead event strategy for marquee MLS/SUM events from concept to post-event evaluation.
• Oversee event budgets, vendor negotiations, contract management, and procurement.
• Provide onsite leadership at marquee events and support live execution.
• Build executive dashboards and KPI reporting to track status, budget, and priorities.
