Job summary

Major League Soccer seeks a Manager of Hotel & Meeting Operations to lead enterprise meetings and hotel planning across MLS and SUM. You will manage sourcing, contracts, and operational planning to deliver high‑quality experiences aligned with business goals.

The role oversees budgets, vendor relationships, and cross‑functional collaboration, with travel and non‑traditional hours as part of the job.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years of hotel and meeting operations experience.
• Ability to travel and work non-traditional hours.
• Experience managing event budgets; large program budgets (> $2M).
• Knowledge of hotel sourcing, RFPs, and contract negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end hotel operations and meetings for assigned programs.
• Develop RFP materials and hotel sourcing strategies.
• Negotiate hotel and venue contracts with legal teams.
• Manage budgets, invoicing, and final billing.
• Coordinate room blocks, VIP suites, and reservation links.
• Provide operational planning and leadership updates.
• Oversee staffing and cross-functional coordination.
• Ensure events are delivered on time and within budget.
