Jobtailor seeks a senior leader to own the technical vision for engine avionics and control systems, directing architecture across BE-3U, BE-4, BE-7, and future propulsion programs. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering.
  • 12+ years leadership in avionics or high-reliability electronics.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams at scale.
  • Full product lifecycle experience from requirements through design, integration, test, and production.
  • Citizenship or eligible work status in the U.S.
  • U.S. Blue's Background Check requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical vision, architecture, and leadership for engine avionics and control systems.
  • Control the technical baseline for engine controllers, embedded software, harnessing, sensors, and test equipment.
  • Architect long-term technical roadmap across BE-3U, BE-4, BE-7, and future programs.
  • Drive cross-program technical direction and manage portfolio-wide risk.
  • Oversee product lifecycles from requirements through design, integration, verification, production, and flight/test support.
  • Provide design and architecture review authority across concurrent programs.
  • Support hot-fire campaigns, qualification testing, flight operations, and anomaly resolution.
  • Interface with vehicle program stakeholders including New Glenn, Lunar, and future programs.
  • Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Mission Assurance, and Manufacturing on scalable designs.
  • Own and evolve the electronics supplier base strategy.
  • Represent avionics in executive technical reviews.
