Job summary

The University of Chicago invites applications for the Senior Director of the Energy Technologies Initiative (ETI) within the Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering. Reporting to the ETI Faculty Director, the Senior Director builds and leads ETI's team, manages budgets and programming, shapes communications, and represents ETI at university leadership forums

Qualifications

• College or university degree required.
• 7+ years of work experience in a related job discipline.
• Bachelor's degree in energy, engineering, environmental science, public policy, or a closely related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Define ETI's long-term vision and priorities with PME, ICSG, and external stakeholders.
• Own ETI's program budgets and financial planning processes to maximize impact.
• Build, lead, and retain a high-performing ETI team with a culture of accountability and collaboration.
• Represent ETI in senior university leadership discussions, national convenings, and industry forums.
• Drive the integrated communications strategy and external partnerships for ETI and ETN.
