Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking a Director of Operations for an established electrical prefabrication and manufacturing group. The role will set operating strategy, manage P&L and budgets, and drive production performance, quality, and safety across multiple shop facilities, including electrical prefabrication, modular assemblies, and UL-listed panel manufacturing.

You will lead unit managers, estimators, and QA/QC teams, coordinate with sales and project management to match capacity to demand,

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive operations or manufacturing leadership, including 3+ years in a senior role (Director, VP, or General Manager).
• Experience with P&L management, budgeting, cost control, and applicable codes (NEC, UL 508A, OSHA).
• Direct experience in electrical prefabrication, industrial manufacturing, or construction services.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction and lead across several business units, including electrical prefabrication, modular and skid-mounted assemblies, temporary power, and UL-listed panel manufacturing.
• Lead and support unit managers, leads, estimators, and QA/QC teams in meeting production schedules, quality standards, and safety goals.
• Oversee procurement and supply chain strategies to improve material availability and vendor performance; align staffing to the sales pipeline.
