Job summary

Kimmel Associates is seeking an experienced Project Director – Electrical Construction to lead the electrical execution of complex heavy industrial and infrastructure projects in the Southeast. This corporate-based leadership role oversees from estimating and preconstruction through installation, commissioning, and closeout, guiding self-perform teams and Electrical Project Managers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in heavy industrial electrical construction.
• Experience leading self-performed electrical work on large projects.
• Experience managing multiple electrical projects and teams.
• Strong understanding of electrical construction means and sequencing.
• Accountability for budgets, forecasting, scheduling, and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the electrical scope of major projects.
• Oversee electrical project execution from estimating through closeout.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Electrical PMs, Superintendents, and foremen.
• Establish execution strategies, manpower plans, and schedules.
• Maintain budgets, cost controls, forecasting, and productivity.
• Coordinate electrical activities with civil, mechanical, instrumentation, and other disciplines.
• Review schedules to keep electrical tasks aligned with milestones.
• Provide technical guidance on construction methods and sequencing.
• Collaborate with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and leadership.
• Identify risks and opportunities and develop mitigation strategies.
• Support estimating, proposals, and business development as needed.
