Aritzia is expanding its Digital Technology team and seeking a Senior Director/Director, Ecommerce Engineering to lead a high-performing engineering organization responsible for world-class website experiences. You will define strategic direction, modernize towards a composable architecture, and ensure scalable front-end platforms and observability across global teams.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in ecommerce or digital environments.
• Proven ability to build accountable, high-performing teams.
• Experience delivering scalable front-end architectures.
• Deep expertise in frontend stack: JavaScript, TypeScript, React.
• Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines, feature flags, observability.
• Familiarity with platforms such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Contentful CMS, Algolia, and Google Cloud.
• Commitment to learn and apply Aritzia’s Values and Leadership principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a high-performing org of engineers across squads with clear accountability.
• Define and execute a QA strategy to ensure availability, security, and performance.
• Own the technical debt roadmap and embed SRE principles for performance and resilience.
• Oversee front-end stack and developer experience platforms (CI/CD, feature flags).
• Collaborate with Digital Product Management, Digital Design, Marketing and Data & Analytics.
