Job summary

Aritzia is seeking a senior technology leader to guide Website Technology from Seattle. You will shape the product and engineering strategy, align with corporate goals, and drive modern, scalable frontend platforms across squads.

You will own the roadmap for technical debt, observability, and QA while collaborating with Digital, Enterprise Tech, and Data teams to deliver seamless content, commerce, and personalization.

Qualifications

• Proven skills, certifications, education and/or experience in software engineering.
• Experience leading teams in ecommerce or digital environments.
• Ability to build accountability, quality, and continuous improvement through team building and performance management.
• Experience delivering scalable front-end architectures and modernization strategies.
• Deep expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, React and modern frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day function of the department in support of corporate objectives and employee experience.
• Establish vision and strategic direction for Website Technology at Aritzia.
• Prioritize opportunities, leverage talent, drive efficiency, and make technology investments.
• Drive modernization from monolithic to composable architecture.
• Oversee the full front-end stack and developer experience platforms, including CI/CD pipelines, feature flags, and observability.
• Own the technical debt roadmap and embed Site Reliability Engineering principles for performance and resilience.
• Define and execute a QA strategy for availability, security, and performance.
• Partner with Digital, Enterprise Technology, and Data & Analytics teams to integrate content, commerce, and personalization.
• Lead and develop a high-performing organization of engineers across squads with clear accountability and career pathways.
• Establish and monitor team performance metrics to improve effectiveness, quality, and business outcomes.
