The mission of the Digital Technology department is to design, build, deliver, and operate robust, efficient, and scalable digital solutions aligned with strategic, business, and technology goals.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Aritzia is growing, and so is our Digital Technology team. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of the team responsible for delivering luxury experiences to Aritzia’s clients by leveraging technology to meet and exceed business goals. As the Senior Developer, Digital Technology, Backend, you will drive new initiatives and evolve our APIs and architecture for Aritzia.com. You will be a core leader on the Commerce Services platform team, collaborating with cross-functional teams including Digital Product Management, Digital Design, Omni, Enterprise Technology, Data & Analytics, and Marketing. This role offers potential for growth and development within Aritzia.

THE ROLE

As the Senior Developer, Digital Technology, Backend, you will:

• Contribute to innovative technology solutions that meet current and future business needs.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, user-centric designs for Aritzia.com.
• Develop, configure, and integrate solutions ensuring design intent and seamless system operation.
• Implement structured testing to ensure functionality and address deficiencies.
• Launch and maintain solutions, collaborating to improve development processes.

THE QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5+ years of professional programming experience, including 3+ years in Salesforce Commerce Cloud development.
• High proficiency in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SCAPI/OCAPI), with openness to other backend platforms. Salesforce Commerce Cloud Architect certification is a plus.
• Experience leading projects and working independently and collaboratively.
• Experience with Rest APIs and unit testing.
• Experience in high-traffic, SKU-rich environments.
• Proficiency with SDKs, Hybrid apps, and PWAs.
• Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines with tools like GitHub Actions and Mac Runners.
• Understanding of Cloudflare CDN + WAF for API performance optimization.
• Experience with observability tools like Datadog or Instabug.
• Knowledge of server-side vs. client-side rendering and user performance considerations.
• Experience delivering large features and guiding technical teams.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and mentorship skills.
• Commitment to Aritzia’s values and leadership principles.

THE COMPENSATION

The typical salary range is $100,000 - $170,000 annually, with potential bonuses and equity. Final salary depends on experience and skills.
