Job summary

Vestal Corporation in San Antonio, TX seeks a Design Technology & VDC Manager to advance first-in-class BIM and VDC capability across the company. You will lead discipline BIM coordinators, mentor staff, and drive automation and interoperability to improve project outcomes.

Candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years’ BIM experience, with strengths in Navisworks, Revizto, Revit, and scripting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum 5 years of experience with BIM software.
Experience with LiDAR preferred.
Master level using Navisworks and Revizto preferred.
Experience with engineering, architecture, and construction terminology is required.

Responsibilities

Identify, recruit, train, mentor BIM coordinators and provide career direction.
Manage monitoring and reporting of technology implementation progress.
Lead VDC readiness to support lean construction concepts like prefabrication.
Improve interoperability with client/consumer platforms (e.g., Procore).
Maintain BIM standards and procedures.
Encourage participation in professional BIM organizations and career development.
Maintain automation scripting (Dynamo, Python, Grasshopper).
Ensure interoperability between software (Revit, Plant 3D, Civil 3D).
Onboard new BIM resources and develop training programs.
Coordinate with IT on systems requirements and security measures.
