Job summary

KBR’s Exploration & Logistics unit seeks a Senior Director, Business Development to drive strategic growth across defense, federal civilian, logistics, engineering, and space exploration markets. You will identify, qualify, shape, and capture large opportunities while building long-term customer relationships and growth strategies aligned with our objectives.

You will partner with division leadership, operations, and executives to expand KBR’s presence, manage pipeline, and lead capture efforts

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, science, technology, or related field.
• 10+ years of professional experience with government, industry, program management, business development and capture.
• 10+ years leading BD, capture, growth for U.S. Government customers.
• Demonstrated success capturing and winning large opportunities (> $100M).
• Strong knowledge of federal acquisition regulations and customer procurement processes.
• Proven ability to build relationships with senior government, military, and industry leaders.
• Experience developing capture strategies, win themes, and competitive positioning.
• Ability to travel 25–50% as required.
• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic BD and capture plans aligned with Exploration & Logistics growth objectives.
• Identify, qualify, and shape new opportunities across defense, federal civilian, logistics, engineering, and exploration markets.
• Lead capture efforts through the full BD lifecycle including qualification, positioning, teaming, and proposals.
• Build and maintain executive-level relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
• Develop customer engagement strategies to expand market presence.
• Align growth initiatives with organizational priorities and capabilities.
• Maintain a robust pipeline using established BD processes and tools.
• Develop win strategies, competitive assessments, and capture plans.
• Lead gate reviews, milestone reviews, and executive briefings for strategic pursuits.
• Mentor BD and capture personnel and ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.
