Job summary

Invenio Financial, a Phillips & Cohen Associates company, is seeking a Director of Business Development to grow its debt buying business across North America. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
• 7+ years in business development, sales, acquisitions, or relationship management within the debt buying/collections sector.
• Established relationships within the debt buying ecosystem and knowledge of creditors, portfolio sellers, and buyers.
• Willingness to travel internationally and across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new debt purchasing opportunities with banks, financial institutions, creditors, and portfolio sellers.
• Build and maintain relationships to expand access to debt portfolios and acquisition opportunities.
• Lead efforts to secure buyer panels and approved purchaser programs.
• Manage opportunities from outreach through evaluation, approval, and review processes.
• Partner with Analytics, Operations, and senior leadership on portfolio opportunities and decisions.
• Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities and Salesforce activity.
• Monitor market activity, trends, and opportunities in debt buying and receivables management.
