Job summary

Caliber is seeking an experienced Data Platform & Tools Leader to design, operate, and optimize its enterprise data and analytics ecosystem. This role partners across operations, finance, HR, supply chain, and customer experience to deliver a unified data foundation enabling self-service analytics and AI initiatives.

Reporting to the VP, Data, Analytics & AI, you will lead strategy, architecture, and governance, while building a high-performing team of platform engineers and DataOps

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data engineering, information systems, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years in data engineering, cloud data platforms, or analytics infrastructure leadership.
• At least 3 years in a lead or architect role.
• Experience with cloud data platforms and supporting tooling.
• Knowledge of privacy frameworks and governance integration into design.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, build, and operation of the enterprise data platform across cloud data warehousing, lakes, and orchestration.
• Own analytics tools (Snowflake, Azure, Databricks, Power BI) for reliability and cost efficiency.
• Drive modernization to a cloud-native, governed, AI-ready data environment.
• Implement CI/CD, data observability, version control, and automated testing.
• Collaborate with governance, cybersecurity, IT, and business teams.
• Monitor performance and optimize compute storage balance.
• Prepare platform capabilities for enterprise AI adoption and APIs.
• Establish standards and runbooks for scalability.
• Mentor a team of platform engineers and DataOps professionals.
