Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Senior Director of Data Center Development to lead the design management of its global hyperscale data center portfolio. You will set strategy, govern multi-disciplinary design activities, and drive standards across architecture, MEP, and critical systems.

Qualifications

• RA or PE licensure required.
• Degree in Architecture, Mechanical/Electrical/Structural Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 12+ years in data center or large-scale infrastructure design and development.
• Experience leading design organizations and programs.
• Experience with hyperscale, cloud, colocation, or mission-critical infrastructure programs.
• Strong understanding of data center codes and standards (NFPA, ASHRAE, IBC).

Responsibilities

• Lead Data Center Design Management for global or multi-region portfolio.
• Establish governance, standards, and performance for the design management team.
• Mentor design managers and leaders; establish accountability for project execution and quality.
• Provide portfolio-level oversight across architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and supporting systems.
• Maintain design governance through the project lifecycle from planning to record documentation.
• Ensure alignment with OCI requirements and operational needs.
• Provide senior technical leadership for high-density compute environments and cooling infrastructure.
• Drive standardization of design standards, criteria, and best practices.
• Lead design reviews, approvals, and change management across the portfolio.
• Mitigate design risks and coordinate across internal and external partners.
• Oversee consultants, colocation providers, and design partners.
• Establish consultant scope and deliverables; ensure design packages meet OCI requirements.
• Drive repeatability while addressing regional/site constraints.
• Develop design performance metrics and report to executive leadership.
• Support strategic planning for future data center capacity and AI requirements.
• Represent OCI in executive reviews and forums.
• Build a culture of technical rigor and governance.
