Job summary

The City of Oxnard is seeking a Director of Enterprise Data Analytics and GIS to lead the enterprise data analytics and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) programs across the organization. This role drives data governance, analytics, dashboards, data engineering, and spatial analysis to support informed decision-making and transparent service delivery.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of professional experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, or related analytical fields, including leading analytics projects or technical teams.
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Under general direction, develops, maintains, and governs the City’s enterprise architecture framework.
• Leads enterprise‑wide technology architecture strategy across domains.
• Establishes architectural standards, design principles, and governance processes.
• Leads development and execution of the City’s applied AI strategy and governance.
