Job summary

Clarivate is seeking a Senior Director of Cyber Security to lead enterprise-wide cyber security strategy, bolster security operations, and protect systems, data, and customers across healthcare, life sciences, and regulated environments.

You will partner with Technology, Product, Engineering, Privacy, Legal, Compliance, and business leadership to advance risk-based security programs, improve control maturity, and support resilience of Clarivate's Life Science business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity or related field.
• 12+ years of cyber security experience in healthcare, life sciences or regulated environments.
• 5+ years leading cyber security teams, programs, or cross-functional initiatives.
• Familiarity with healthcare and life sciences standards (GxP, FDA, 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA) and data integrity.
• Experience defining and executing enterprise cyber security strategy, roadmaps, and operating models.
• Experience overseeing security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, threat monitoring, security engineering, or cyber risk management.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, CIS Controls or similar frameworks.
• Ability to translate cyber risk and security metrics for senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Support customer assurance, audits, and regulatory inspections in regulated environments.
• Define and execute cyber security strategy, roadmap, and operating model to reduce enterprise risk.
• Lead cyber security programs across security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, and governance.
• Embed security requirements into products, platforms, and vendor relationships with leaders across functions.
• Oversee monitoring, escalation, investigation, and response for security incidents.
• Drive improvements to controls, policies, standards, and reporting aligned to frameworks.
• Identify threats, gaps, and remediation in collaboration with tech/product teams.
• Support audits and regulatory activities with measurable security practices.
• Develop and lead a high-performing cyber security team with coaching and prioritization.
• Communicate risk and program performance to executive leadership.
