This role drives quality, safety, and patient-centered care. The candidate will oversee staffing, performance improvement, and policy development while supporting community care initiatives.

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure in the state of employment (or Compact State).
• BLS – required upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS – required within 6 months and maintained.
• CPI – required within 6 months and annually thereafter.
• CCRN – may be required per facility policy.
• CPPS – may be required per facility policy.

Responsibilities

• Direct and guide daily operations in ICU/PCU/Dialysis to ensure quality and safety of care.
• Prepare and manage department staffing schedules based on census and acuity.
• Supervise and evaluate nursing personnel and take disciplinary action as needed.
• Oversee performance improvement, regulatory compliance, and incident investigations.
• Lead development of policies, procedures, and clinical practice standards.
• Develop and manage department budgets to ensure cost-effective care delivery.
• Provide direct patient care as necessary to maintain high-quality outcomes.
• Participate in hospital-wide committees and initiatives aligned with clinical goals.
• Maintain up-to-date job descriptions and ensure timely staff evaluations.
