Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and oversight of all imaging modalities and associated services.
• Plans, organizes, and manages daily operations to ensure efficient patient flow and service delivery.
• Assigns staff and adjusts workload in response to changing priorities and patient care needs.
• Oversees staff recruitment, orientation, training, evaluation, and performance management.
• Maintains ability to perform imaging procedures when needed and ensure patient safety.
• Ensures compliance with hospital, regulatory, and accrediting standards and drives performance improvement.
• Monitors equipment repair, maintenance, and downtime reporting.
• Manages departmental budget, supply inventory, and resource utilization.
• Facilitates communication with physicians, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Provides instruction and mentorship to staff and students.
• Develops, implements, and monitors departmental policies, procedures, and safety measures.
• Participates in quality assurance and improvement activities for safe, high-quality care.
• Keeps current with imaging technologies and best practices to guide growth.
