Job summary

QinetiQ US is seeking a Sr. Director of Profit & Loss to lead and grow its Counter Threat Portfolio, owning full P&L across programs supporting the U.S. Government.

The role blends hands-on program execution with customer engagement, business development, and capture strategy, balancing mature contracts with new, cutting-edge research initiatives and emerging technology delivery. The successful candidate will mentor teams, drive policy compliance, and report to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and/or currently possess TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience leading defense/homeland security portfolios.
• Proven track record managing $50M+ government services or technology portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Own full P&L responsibility for the Counter Threat portfolio, including revenue growth, profitability, forecasting, budgeting, and operational performance.
• Develop and execute a strategic growth plan within the counter-threat market.
• Lead a portfolio of programs focused on counter-UAS, force protection, border security, ISR, and related areas.
• Build and maintain executive relationships with customers across the U.S. Army, DHS, CENTCOM, and allied governments.
• Partner with Business Development to identify, qualify, and win new opportunities while expanding existing relationships.
• Oversee program execution to ensure customer satisfaction, technical performance, schedule adherence, and financial results.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across program management, engineering, operations, contracts, finance, and business development.
• Ensure compliance with government contracting regulations, security requirements, and company policies.
• Drive organizational excellence through talent development and succession planning.
• Represent QinetiQ US at customer engagements and industry meetings.
