Job summary

Merchants Insurance Group, based in Buffalo, NY, seeks a Senior Manager, Corporate Programs, to lead all program initiatives and drive growth, profitability, and performance across the organization. You will partner with external and internal teams to deliver differentiated products and services.

The role requires extensive experience in program underwriting, strong leadership, and the ability to manage multiple projects while aligning with enterprise strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in applicable discipline required; CPCU or related coursework desirable.
• 10+ years of relevant work experience in programs/underwriting.
• 5+ years of management experience.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of product development activities is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead vision and management of all corporate program initiatives aligned with enterprise growth.
• Identify and pursue new program opportunities by analyzing market trends and customer needs.
• Build relationships with Program Administrators and distribution partners to drive premium growth.
• Oversee development and pricing of program products, endorsements, and forms.
• Own program performance including loss ratio, premium, and profitability goals.
• Coordinate with reinsurers on underwriting strategy and treaty requirements.
