Pay Range

$193,000.00 - $317,275.00

This position is eligible to receive a target annual cash bonus and long-term incentive package of stock grants based on individual and company performance, in accordance with company policy.

Position Summary & Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a high energy, passionate and experienced professional to join our Corporate Development team as a Senior Director of Corporate Development, reporting to the SVP of Corporate Development & Strategy. This individual will work remotely from anywhere in the United States and require up to 50% travel during transactions.

The position has high visibility in the organization and involves frequent interaction with the Leadership and cross-functional teams. The Senior Director of Corporate Development will serve as the lead across all aspects of the acquisition lifecycle, including the formation, coordination and leadership of deal teams, due diligence, and represent Bio-Techne in deal negotiations. This role will also materially support the business leaders and strategy teams in developing proprietary market insight campaigns to identify inorganic growth opportunities. The successful candidate will develop and maintain strategic relationships with investment banks, venture capital and private equity firms focused on the life sciences and diagnostics markets. The candidate will monitor and report M&A competitor activities, landscape trends and key marketplace activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree (or equivalent). MBA strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • 3+ years of experience within the Life Sciences, Tool, and Diagnostics market
  • Ideally 3+ year top-tier consulting experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong business, finance, and analytical skills
  • Experience interfacing with senior management and/or clients

Preferred Qualifications

  • M&A and Divestiture track record and project management experience
  • Solid working knowledge of Bio-Techne, including its business functions, markets, financial data, and systems
  • Business/Corporate Development, investment banking/finance, private equity and/or management consulting experience

  • Establishes a post-close tracking mechanism to measure success and identify countermeasures when needed
