Job summary

Pfizer is seeking a Senior Director, Strategic Technology Initiatives Lead to connect and align Pfizer’s strategic technology programs with the eight Digital Core Platforms. This leader will oversee Senior Technical Architects and drive ELT-level AI initiatives at global scale.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to create clarity from complexity, orchestrate cross‑initiative work, and deliver faster, safer, and more reusable digital capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field with 12+ years of leadership in technology strategy, architecture, or large-scale program delivery.
• Experience leading the technology strategy and delivery of multiple concurrent programs, connecting them into a coherent whole.
• Proven ability to lead and develop senior technical talent, including architects, principal engineers, and other senior specialists.
• Strong understanding of modern engineering practices, cloud platforms, data integration, AI-enabled delivery, security, reliability, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Own the connected technology strategy across strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with eight Digital Core Platforms and enterprise standards.
• Drive platform alignment and reusable use of the Digital Core Platforms; promote consistency and clean integration.
• Lead ELT-level AI programs; translate priorities into coordinated initiatives with clear owners and outcomes.
• Oversee, guide, and develop a team of Senior Technical Architects; ensure architecture quality across the portfolio.
• Define AI-enabled delivery with governance to increase speed, quality, and decision-making.
• Provide clear leadership and structured communication; organize work across many teams and stakeholders; foster accountability and learning.
• Establish governance and delivery assurance across initiatives; report to senior leaders and keep the portfolio on track.
