Job summary

National Cooperative Bank seeks a seasoned Head of Commercial Portfolio Management to lead the portfolio management function at the VA Office. You will oversee loan relationships, financial statement spreading, covenant monitoring, annual reviews, and risk ratings while partnering with BDOs, Underwriting, and Credit Administration to safeguard portfolio quality.

You will coach a team, drive regulatory compliance, and ensure timely escalations of credit concerns, influencing strategy and risk

Qualifications

• 8+ years in commercial banking, underwriting, credit administration, or portfolio management.
• 3+ years in management or supervisory roles preferred.
• Strong background in commercial credit analysis and portfolio risk management.
• Advanced financial statement analysis skills.
• Experience with SBA lending programs and portfolio monitoring.
• Knowledge of commercial loan structures and covenant monitoring.
• Leadership and coaching skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Experience with nCino, Salesforce, spreading software, and reporting tools.
