Job summary
Crusoe is seeking an Senior Director of Engineering to run the team behind Crusoe's customer-facing cloud platform. You will lead a 60+ person Product Engineering organization through senior managers and engineering leads, setting technical direction and driving the roadmap with a focus on reliability, security, and on-call execution.
The role sits close to customers and the technical core, stepping into escalations and major product decisions when stakes are high.
Qualifications
- 12+ years in software engineering.
- 5+ years leading 40-100+ engineer orgs.
- Owned a cloud platform customers pay for (IaaS/PaaS/managed services).
- AI tooling fluent and interested in AI ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Lead a 60+ person Product Engineering org through senior managers and engineering leads.
- Drive the roadmap for Crusoe's customer-facing cloud platform and managed services.
- Set direction for developer portal, identity, billing, interfaces, registries, metrics, and managed logging.
- Ship the roadmap with Product and Infrastructure with high quality, reliability, security, and on-call rigor.
- Lead major customer escalations and key product decisions when stakes are high.
- Collaborate with Sales and Solutions Engineering to convert customer needs into platform capabilities.
