Job summary

Junior Achievement USA is seeking a Senior Director of Infrastructure to lead reliability, security, and modernization of enterprise tech. You will guide Azure, M365, hybrid environments, IAM, networking, hosting, backup, monitoring, and automation while coaching the infra team from a hands-on stance.

The role drives architecture, incident response, cost management, and vendor partnerships. A strong leader with deep technical skills and strategic vision is essential to success.

Qualifications

• 7+ years managing enterprise IT infrastructure with hands-on responsibilities.
• 5+ years in Microsoft Azure environments including networking, VMs, storage, IAM, monitoring, and backup.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID / Azure AD, and cloud/hybrid infra.
• Strong troubleshooting, incident resolution, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Proficient in scripting/automation (PowerShell) and technical documentation.
• Leading, coaching, and developing technical teams with accountability.
• Able to work autonomously, prioritize, and align with org goals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Willing to travel up to 10% for events.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on leadership across JA's enterprise infrastructure (Azure, M365, hybrid).
• Administer, configure, troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain infrastructure systems.
• Serve as senior escalation point for complex issues; lead incident response and RCA.
• Ensure reliability, security, scalability, and performance; plan capacity.
• Create and maintain architecture docs, inventories, runbooks, standards.
• Automate recurring infra/ops with PowerShell and Azure automation tools.
• Establish repeatable practices for reliability, monitoring, change management.
• Evaluate new technologies and identify practical adoption opportunities.
• Lead and mentor team members with clear expectations and growth paths.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors; manage SLAs; travel as needed.
