Job summary

Qualifications

• MD or MD/PhD required.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in clinical medicine.
• Minimum of 3-5 year of industry experience in drug development or biomedical research.
• Demonstrated success in overseeing clinical studies and protocols.
• Demonstrated record of scientific scholarship and achievement.
• Proven track record in clinical medicine and background in biomedical research.
• Strong interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to function in a team environment.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Board Certified or Eligible in Cardiology, Endocrinology, Nephrology or related discipline (preferred).
• Prior specific experience in clinical research and prior publication (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct clinical research activities for new or marketed medicines in the Atherosclerosis & Metabolism area.
• Develop clinical development strategies and plans; design trials and operationalize studies.
• Monitor and manage ongoing clinical trials; ensure regulatory reporting and publications.
• Analyze clinical findings to support safety, efficacy, and regulatory decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners on development programs.
• Support business development assessments of external opportunities.
