Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Category and Assortment Director for Sysco Specialty Meat Group. The role sets enterprise-wide category and assortment strategies and drives execution through cross-functional influence across sales, supply chain, digital, and revenue management.

The candidate will lead large-scale strategic initiatives, build essential tools, and deliver KPIs aligned with Sysco and SSMG objectives. Remote work with travel up to 25% is possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college/university or equivalent.
• 10+ years leadership experience in Category Management or merchandising analytics.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category and assortment strategic plans supporting objectives.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives with sales, supply chain, digital, and revenue management.
• Create standardized performance metrics to evaluate category strategy effectiveness.
• Design nationally led assortments with local and customer-specific offerings.
• Drive change management to ensure successful execution at all levels.
• Collaborate with USBL partners on assortment stocking using data insights.
• Oversee product development, SKU rationalization/standardization, and data/image attribution.
• Provide ongoing leadership across multiple projects and initiatives.
