Job summary

Lilly is seeking an Associate Director-Capital Project Procurement Leader to plan, source and drive capital project strategies for North America, partnering with engineering, construction and supplier teams.

The role emphasizes category management, negotiations, risk management and delivering value while aligning with global procurement procedures at Lilly. It requires leadership of major capital projects and collaboration across internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain.
• 7+ years of capital construction procurement experience including sourcing, negotiating, and managing contracts for engineering, construction, and capital equipment.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Experience with engineering, construction, and capital equipment procurement.
• Willingness to travel 10–25%.

Responsibilities

• Category management for engineering, construction services, automation, and capital equipment.
• Lead requirements reviews, sourcing strategies, RFPs, and contract management.
• Negotiate agreements to minimize costs and risks while meeting project objectives.
• Collaborate with internal clients on supplier qualification, relationships, spend analysis and risk management.
• Source for major capital projects (> $5MM) at Lilly global manufacturing sites.
• Lead procurement management for mega projects with high complexity.
• Develop procurement strategy to deliver business objectives.
• Lead supplier management and internal-external relationships.
• Identify and implement cost/risk reductions of $5M+ annually.
• Deliver procurement activities per Global Procurement procedures.
