Job summary

Merck in Rahway, NJ seeks a Senior Director, Clinical Science, Breast Oncology to provide strategic leadership across multiple breast cancer studies and assets. You will guide development planning, set scientific standards, and influence portfolio decisions in a matrix environment.

Qualifications

Significant experience in Clinical Development, Clinical Science, clinical drug development, or a related function within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
Demonstrated experience providing Clinical Science leadership across multiple studies, programs, or assets.
Deep therapeutic area expertise with understanding of disease biology, endpoints, and data interpretation for development decisions.

Responsibilities

Provide senior scientific guidance across assigned studies and programs to support high-quality Clinical Science input.
Guide interpretation of clinical data to identify trends, risks, and program implications.
Contribute to protocol development, study design, and biomarker strategy discussions.
