Merck & Co. is seeking a Senior Director, Clinical Science, Breast Oncology to lead strategic Clinical Science efforts across multiple studies and assets.

You will shape disease-area strategy, promote standardized practices, and drive high-quality scientific input across cross-functional teams in a matrix environment. The role demands deep Breast Cancer expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to integrate insights for portfolio decisions.

Qualifications

• Advanced scientific or healthcare degree (PhD/PharmD) or equivalent with 8+ years pharma/clinical drug development experience.
• Master’s in life sciences with 12+ years pharma/clinical drug development experience.
• Bachelor’s in life sciences with 15+ years pharma/clinical drug development experience.

Responsabilités

• Provide strategic Clinical Science leadership across the disease area, including multiple studies, programs, and assets.
• Standardize Clinical Science approaches across the portfolio and promote consistency in data review and interpretation.
• Provide senior scientific guidance for protocol development, study design, and biomarker strategy.
• Lead and develop Clinical Scientists, coaching and career development in a matrix environment.
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Biostatistics, and Medical Affairs to align portfolio objectives.
