Job summary

Pharmacosmos Therapeutics Inc. in Morristown, NJ seeks a Senior Director, Assistant General Counsel to provide practical legal and compliance counsel across the company. You will independently manage a broad portfolio supporting commercial, medical, market access and corporate functions, and supervise outside counsel as needed.

The role requires a JD, active U.S. bar admission, and at least 7 years in pharma/biotech, with strong collaboration skills and high ethical standards.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited U.S. law school and bar admission in at least one state.
• 7+ years of relevant legal experience, including in-house pharma/biotech.
• Ability to obtain limited NJ in-house license within 90 days.
• Knowledge of Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, FDA promotional rules, privacy laws.
• Experience with pharmaceutical contracting, healthcare compliance and market access.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior legal and compliance advisor across PTI functions.
• Structure, draft and negotiate complex commercial and research agreements.
• Oversee PTI's compliance program including training and investigations.
• Lead or support internal investigations and remediation.
• Provide legal review of promotional and external materials.
• Advise on employment, privacy, litigation, regulatory inquiries.
• Manage matters from intake to resolution, coordinating outside counsel.
• Escalate significant risks to VP Head of Legal and Compliance.
