Job summary

Metropolis is seeking a Senior Director, Assistant Controller to lead corporate accounting operations and scale with our rapid growth. You will be a core leader on the accounting team, ensuring financial integrity, strengthening control environment, and streamlining operations.

You will partner with leaders across FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and Product/Operations to support new business initiatives, drive SOX readiness, and automate close and consolidation processes using AI and modern systems.

Qualifications

12+ years of progressive accounting and financial leadership experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; active CPA certification
Deep mastery of US GAAP (IFRS experience a plus) and global multi-currency consolidations
Experience with tier-1 ERPs (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and leveraging AI/automation in finance operations
Ability to transition between strategic planning and hands-on leadership
Executive-level written and verbal communication skills for board-level audiences

Responsibilities

Oversee end-to-end accounting across all entities and close processes.
Advise VP Controller with the accounting roadmap and insights on financial results.
Modernize corporate accounting by embedding AI, automation, and modern systems.
Design scalable internal controls (SOX readiness) and policies.
Build, mentor, and scale a world-class accounting team.
Coordinate with external auditors for audit readiness.
Partner with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and Product/Operations.
