Job summary

Legora seeks an Assistant Controller to lead global accounting operations across entities, ensuring accurate close, consolidations, and reporting. You will drive process improvements, SOX readiness, and scalable accounting controls while guiding a high-performance team.

You’ll oversee corporate accounting, AP, AR, and payroll, coordinating with offshore and third-party providers, and you’ll champion AI-enabled automation to support rapid growth and compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience in high-growth or multinational environments.
• Public accounting foundation and in-house experience are required.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP; IFRS familiarity is a plus.
• Experience with audits and defensible work papers; audit readiness is essential.
• Hands-on experience running multi-entity closes and intercompany processes.
• ERP implementation or migration experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead Corporate Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll globally across entities with accurate reporting.
• Oversee intercompany accounting and coordination with third-party providers.
• Manage and mentor Accounting Manager, AP/AR/Payroll managers, and offshore teams.
• Serve as escalation point for daily accounting questions and process improvements.
• Strengthen internal controls including SOX readiness and documentation.
• Drive scalable accounting processes and automation initiatives for high-growth SaaS.
