A leading real estate investment and operating platform is seeking a Senior Director, Asset Management to support the performance and value creation of a regional multifamily portfolio.

This role is ideal for an experienced multifamily asset management professional who combines strong market knowledge, commercial judgment, and operational insight. The position serves as a key link between property operations, asset management, and investment stakeholders, driving portfolio performance through market intelligence, pricing strategy, capital improvement oversight, and business plan execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve the operating performance of a multifamily portfolio through proactive asset management and market analysis.
• Provide insights on rents, occupancy, concessions, competitive positioning, and other performance drivers.
• Partner with operations teams to support budgeting, forecasting, revenue optimization, expense management, and NOI growth.
• Evaluate and oversee renovation and value-add initiatives, including return-on-investment analysis and execution monitoring.
• Support lender, investor, and stakeholder reporting requirements.
• Assist with acquisition, disposition, and portfolio evaluation activities by providing market intelligence and asset-level insights.
• Conduct property and market visits to assess competitive dynamics and identify opportunities for enhanced performance.

Qualifications

Required

• 8+ years of multifamily real estate experience with significant exposure to asset management, portfolio management, operations leadership, or related ownership-side functions.
• Strong understanding of multifamily operating metrics, pricing strategies, budgeting, and business planning.
• Experience analyzing property financial performance and implementing initiatives to improve returns.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate market conditions, competitive positioning, and renovation economics.
• Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to operate independently in a highly autonomous environment.

Preferred

• Experience with institutional real estate owners, investment managers, REITs, or sophisticated owner/operators.
• Exposure to capital improvement, repositioning, or value-add programs.
• Experience supporting acquisitions, dispositions, financing, or lender relationships.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field; MBA preferred.
