Job summary

Wendy's is seeking a Senior Director of Area Operations to lead a portfolio of 5–7 Directors of Area Operations and 200 restaurants. You will drive profitability, sales growth, and customer satisfaction while guiding staffing, talent development, and governance across the market.

The role emphasizes strategic leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and adherence to employment laws, with remote work optional when not onsite at Wendy's locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years experience in operations management with increasing responsibility.
• Significant experience in P&L management of multi-unit operators.
• Strong leadership, relationship-building and communication skills.
• Ability to drive growth initiatives and manage diverse stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

• Leads and develops a team of 4–6 Directors of Area Operations to improve performance and build talent pipelines.
• Maximizes profit and revenue objectives, partnering with finance.
• Drives sales growth and customer counts across the portfolio by implementing programs with cross-functional teams.
• Manages HR processes, staffing, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and compliance with employment laws.
• Supports restaurant planning and site selection collaboration with Development teams.
