Job summary
Yahoo is seeking a senior AI/ML engineer to guide design and implementation of large-scale ML-based solutions across multiple teams. You will collaborate with product, design, and research to align with strategic roadmaps and deliver scalable, high-performance AI-powered experiences.
You will drive data strategies, evaluation frameworks, and production serving plans, staying ahead of AI innovations and advising teams on adoption in line with Yahoo's product vision.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of impact in industry with growing responsibilities and strategic influence.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Applied Math or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Expertise in AI, machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and applying these technologies to solve strategic business problems.
- Expertise in Python and Java or C++, guiding teams in scalable and robust systems.
Responsibilities
- Based on strategic roadmaps, guide design and implementation of large-scale ML-based solutions across multiple teams.
- Define overarching technical requirements, including data strategies and evaluation frameworks for multi-team use.
- Drive cross-team alignment through strong communication with product, design, and research leads.
- Stay updated on AI trends (LLMs, vision, generative AI) and guide adoption aligned with product vision.
- Lead data analysis to identify patterns and inform development directions with product teams.
- Promote Agentic AI development to maximize product and system benefits.
