Job summary

Yahoo is seeking a senior AI/ML leader to drive the design and implementation of large-scale ML systems across multiple teams. You will define data strategies, ground knowledge, and scalable production serving approaches while guiding cross-functional discussions with product, design, and research leads.

With 8+ years of strategic leadership in AI/NLP, you will leverage Python and Java/C++ to build robust systems and guide teams in adopting cutting-edge generative AI.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of track record driving significant impact with increasing responsibility and strategic influence.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Applied Math or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Expertise in AI, machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, applying these technologies to solve strategic business problems.
• Expertise in Python and Java or C++, guiding teams to scalable, robust systems.
• Experience in query understanding and query formulation guidance is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Guide design and implementation of large-scale ML-based solutions across multiple teams.
• Define technical requirements including data strategies, evaluation frameworks, and production serving strategies.
• Drive data analysis to identify patterns, validate hypotheses, and inform strategic development with product teams.
• Lead teams in adopting Agentic AI to maximize benefits for product and system.
