Job summary

Pfizer seeks a Sr. Director, Solution Architecture, Medical AI Acceleration and Delivery in New York to own global architectural governance for the Medical Affairs digital portfolio and AI strategy across enterprise platforms.

You will lead a small pod, partner with Product Owners, ensure regulatory compliance, and translate complex technology into business value for senior executives while delivering high-priority AI-enabled features.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 12+ years of IT, systems architecture, or digital engineering experience; 8+ years as a hands-on Solution Architect.
• Proven experience designing AI-oriented solutions (LLMs, RAG, or agentic systems) and complex data integrations.
• Experience leading and mentoring digital professionals (UX, Scrum, or Engineering) and coordinating matrixed resources.
• Exceptional communication skills with a track record of influencing senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Establish architectural governance and design for global Medical Affairs platforms.
• Translate business needs into buildable, resilient architectures with stakeholders.
• Lead data integration and AI strategy across core platforms like Veeva CRM and Salesforce clouds.
• Directly manage UX Designer and Scrum Master; mentor and grow the architecture team.
• Develop ROI/TCO analyses and participate in RFIs/RFPs to guide vendor selections.
